This purple and turquoise wool yarn is hand dyed from a mystery sheep. It is 4 ply mill spun in a standard worsted weight and is a very springy. Would make some lovely winter hats and mittens, but not drapey and soft enough for other types of next to skin garments. My guess as to the previous owner of this wool would be a Corriedale cross of some sort. High quality dyes were used to create the turquoise blue and purple hues. I tested to see if this yarn would wet felt and it did not want to felt for me but still recommend hand washing your finished items.

Beautiful colors but not quite as soft as some others. I wanted to change my review because your response was so thoughtful and caring. I have used it though so i wont be sending it back. I will definitely be purchasing again from your shop! thank you
