This hand spun suri yarn is core spun from super silky suri locks around a mohair core. Suri fiber has a silk-like feel and is an extremely soft, and warm fiber. This yarn is built from two core spun singles into a chunky two ply yarn. The suri locks were hand dyed with professional grade dyes. The fiber comes from "Frona" an alpaca who lives on a Minnesota farm where they show and raise blue ribbon suris.

You should assume that all wool products and yarn will shrink and felt. Hand washing in cold water is recommended. The exception would be super wash wools which can be machine washed, but air drying is recommended to keep your finished item in its best condition. All my handspun yarn is wet finished to set the twist and hung to dry without weights so your finished product will retain it's shape without unexpected shrinkage.
I make every effort to remove access dyes, however, you should wash separately as it is likely that some dye residue remains.
